Over 12 highly focused days, Lebanon and region’s most advanced young string, wind, brass and piano players and vocalists will spend 60-90 minutes per day exploring the wonderful repertoire and the fine art of chamber music playing under the expert guidance of YES Academy strings, winds, piano and vocal faculty along with dynamic guest artists. During the first days of the Academy, faculty will assign students to string trios and quartets, brass and woodwind quintets, piano trios, vocal ensembles and a variety of other small ensembles reflecting the diversity instruments enrolled in the program. In addition to intensive coaching on the assigned repertoire, each participant will be involved in sessions designed to explore new and unique angles to musicianship and performance. A typical daily schedule will include one coaching and additional rehearsal time in the mornings prior to the 11am start of the academy program. The YES Academy Chamber Music program offers a unique opportunity for young artists to improve their musicianship in a professional setting and stimulating environment. Pre-formed groups or individuals welcome to participate as such. Individual participants will be placed in groups by audition.
