Audition Information

All prospective participants are required to audition. The deadline for receiving all audition materials is Friday June 17, 2016.
 
Once accepted, be prepared to audition again on the first day of class for placement into class, ensemble and/or solo group appropriate for your level.

Once accepted, be prepared to audition again on the first day of class for placement into class, ensemble and/or solo group appropriate for your level.
 
Residents of ASEAN Nations:

• You will audition by submitting links to audio or video files. Your audition deadline is Friday, June 17. Please include the exact URL of your audition video(s) in the indicated section on your online application form. Successful applicants will be notified by July 5, 2016.
• Audition Content: Please submit between one and three videos in your chosen art form. See guidance below. Solo performances are preferred but you may submit ensemble/crew performances as well. Please indicate clearly which performer you are (clothing/hair/position on stage at start of video) in case of ensemble performances.​

 
Singer/Songwriter Requirements
Please submit 1 or more of the following:

• One original song
• One cover song
• Any lyrics/chord charts/sheet music, if available, for your original song (as PDF)

 
Note, songwriters who are not performers may apply for this program. Please indicate this in your application form. If you are not the performer in the videos, please indicate this as well.

Broadway Musical Requirements
Please submit 1 or more of the following according to your skills:

• One song
• Acted scene
• Choreography

Hip Hop Dance Requirements
Please submit 1 or more of the following:

• One choreography (If you are auditioning as a team or a crew, one choreography is sufficient for the entire team or crew.)
• Free style

 
Rap/Spoken Word/Emcee Requirements
Please submit 1 or more of the following:

• One or more videos of solo performances (in any language)

 
Results will be announced on July 5, 2016 via email and the YES ASEAN Facebook Group: YES Academy ASEAN
